Where your rest and relaxation is our top priority!
Seriously, though, welcome. I'm so glad you decided to join us in this little game and I really do hope that you enjoy yourself. At this point, I'd like to remind everyone that I have an open door policy when it comes to questions, comments, and critiques. If you need, or even just want to talk to me, please feel free to ping my on Discord (Harlowisms#7337) or on Plurk (
All kidding aside, tomorrow marks the day of your characters new life. I don't want to spoil too much of the fun, so I'll keep the details here short and vague, but I do want to go over a few things so that you know what you're in store for.
Plot:
This is a plot heavy game but, unlike a murder game, it is not set up to be a fast paced game. There will usually be one plot heavy instance a month and those will usually span about a week to give people time to tag into them and wiggle their fingers into all the pies. Plots work in stages, with all players starting in stage 1 and certain criteria have to be met in order for the next stage to unlock. Once a stage is unlocked, all players can continue forward, though it is encouraged to finish your threads from the previous stages.
At any point in time, I can step in with the mod account (Rookshire_hill) to throw a monkey wrench into your thread. This can be an environmental change, a sudden NPC arrival, etc. If I'm going to do this, I will post a blank comment to act as a place holder while I write the tag. No one should respond to that thread until I have edited the comment to include the desired monkey wrench. If you respond to a tag and find that I've put in a place holder, please copy your tag and then delete it until I've finished. Sometimes your tag won't have to change at all. Sometimes, it will. I will try my best to be quick and concise with my place holders so as to avoid this.
On that note, things that players consider or wonder if something is plot relevant can be bolded to indicate their importance. This also lets me go through and find IC questioning that needs mod attention at a glance.
Storm Logs
Storm logs will usually go up the morning of the full moon. Most of the time, they won't be nearly as eventful as this one, unless apps are open and we're getting new players.
After Storm Logs will go up the morning after the full moon ends (3 days after the storm log goes up). After storm logs will include your new location, your current supply status, and any extra relevant information.
Information about supplies and finding supplies will be coming with your first ASL
